Why the hell

Would you ever have kids

I mean, well

Obviously kids are great

More people should have them

That line about overpopulation is a myth

And the idea that you shouldn't have kids for the environment is stupid

Have a little damn hope people

I'm not ragging on hope

I'm just puzzled confused and offended

Or maybe just jealous

Cause of people who go off to college and graduate with a diamond ring on their finger

After all it's just college

Now you're stuck for the rest of your life

Just as well

With some skinny blonde boy who made eyes at you in the stairwell of the chemistry building

Why the hell

Shouldn't you spend your life with him

Why shouldn't you change your name for him

Why would you change your name for him

That was your name and I loved it

It was the best thing about you

And you gave it away for his dishwasher hair

Well why not

A name's not more precious than a life to be lived

A life to be lived with children

If he's good, if he provides, if he unplugs the sink and won't cheat

He'll be a half decent father, I'll give him his boys and he'll give me my girls

What more could you ask

We'll be happy

He'll give me my children

I'll have my children

I always wanted my children, my best friends

Leave my sisters for their nieces and nephews
