reflections upon stumbling across some old trashy reality television

 you filthy old man:

so kind and beneficent,

accoladed and charitable,

beloved yet bold—

which did you think would save you?

which did you think made you good?

your charity bought you the alleviation of your conscience;

you listened to the lips you paid to lie.

better you had kept it all to yourself.

better you had not thought yourself entitled.

so gentle, so kind; clean-shaven and rich.

leaving evil expectations unspoken

unashamed of your actions and yet not quite capable of acknowledging them.
